Moscow Surfing Federation

People surf on the shores of six out of seven continents. In 2016, the number of surfers worldwide reached 35 million and is continuing to grow. The year 2015 turned out to be of historical significance for Russian surfers – surfing was officially recognized as a professional sport. Surfing is rapidly growing in our country, and waves can be found in Kaliningrad, St.Petersburg, Sochi, Kamchatka, Sakhalin, and the Arctic.

The Moscow Surfing Federation was founded in 2010 and aims to actively develop and promote classic surfing in Russia. Combining efforts of all those interested in surfing, we strive to improve training and coaching, organize sport events and fitness programs, and help make relevant information easily accessible.

A very important target of the Moscow Surfing Federation is the promotion and development of indoor artificial waves. We also try to attract public interest to such projects through media coverage.
